The Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Director, the Senior Construction Manager will lead the successful delivery of a large-scale hospitality development in Northern Greece. This role is responsible for overseeing the full construction lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and overall development objectives.
The position also plays a key role in driving cost efficiency, buildability, and long-term operational performance across the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project-wide construction strategies.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project delivery teams across all disciplines.
- Oversee design package management, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring targets are consistently met.
- Review technical drawings, material submissions, and consultant deliverables.
- Ensure full compliance with industry standards, building codes, and QHSE regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce quality control procedures.
- Identify design, coordination, and installation risks, implementing proactive solutions.
- Liaise with stakeholders and authorities to facilitate approvals and smooth delivery.
- Support value engineering initiatives and provide technical input where required.
- Lead, mentor, and develop construction managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Manage construction risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Review and approve progress certifications and oversee project close-out.
- Coordinate snagging, handover, and final completion activities.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Construction Management (preferred).
- Minimum 12 year’s experience in construction or building services.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale hospitality or complex development projects.
- Experience managing multi-project CAPEX portfolios.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong experience in executive-level reporting.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across diverse teams and authorities.
- Fluency in English and Greek (required).
