Data Center Sector Director – Southeast Asia
We are representing a top-tier Project Management Consultancy seeking a Data Centre Sector Director to lead and grow its Southeast Asia mission-critical practice from Kuala Lumpur.

This is a regional leadership opportunity for an experienced data centre professional with a strong background across project delivery, account client management, business development, and sector growth within the hyperscale and mission-critical market.

The Opportunity

Joining a globally recognised PMC, you will act as the senior regional lead across key client accounts and major data centre developments throughout Southeast Asia.

The role will focus heavily on account management, regional business development, bids and proposals, sector positioning, and strategic client growth, alongside oversight of high-profile project delivery across the region.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially minded Senior Manager ready to step into a Director-level position within a fast-growing sector.

Commissioning Manager (Data Centres)
Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities on large-scale hyperscale data centre projects in Malaysia. You will be responsible for ensuring all systems are tested, validated, and handed over to the highest operational standards.

Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end commissioning (Level 1–5) across hyperscale data centre projects
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and consultants across MEP and CSA interfaces
- Oversee testing activities including FATs, SATs, ISTs, and integrated systems testing
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations, client standards, and industry best practices
- Drive system validation and quality assurance for successful handover
- Identify and mitigate commissioning and integration risks
- Report on progress, risks, and readiness to key stakeholders
- Support client witnessing, training, and final documentation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Track record delivering full commissioning lifecycle on at least one large-scale project
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure
- Familiarity with Level 1–5 commissioning processes and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute)
- Good understanding of Malaysian regulatory and compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder coordination and leadership skills
- Clear communication and reporting abilities

Our client is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of large-scale data centre projects in Malaysia. You will be responsible for driving programme strategy, robust planning, and ensuring alignment across multiple project teams to deliver to the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule, and commercial performance.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall programme delivery across multiple hyperscale data centre projects
- Establish and manage programme governance, reporting structures, and controls
- Drive programme planning, including master schedules, phasing, and sequencing strategies
- Oversee Project Managers and ensure alignment across all project workstreams

MEP Project Manager – Data Centre
On behalf of our client, a globally renowned Project Management Consultancy, we are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery of major new-build Data Centre projects across Malaysia.

In this role, you will manage the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) scope of work, ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with client objectives and contractual obligations. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical-heavy workstreams, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining strict adherence to timelines, quality, and governance standards. You will act as the primary client interface for MEP matters, lead risk management and change control processes, and ensure technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of MEP systems for large-scale Data Centre projects.
- Oversee electrical and mechanical workstreams, ensuring compliance with design and technical specifications.
- Act as the primary client interface for MEP scope, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for MEP packages.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.

- Ability to lead under pressure and deliver projects within tight timelines.
