Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven Greenfield data center experience, delivering mission-critical projects?

This is an opportunity to join a leading construction team at the forefront of hyperscale and mission-critical development in Johor Bharu

Our top tier contracting client are seeking a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with strong general contractor experience to lead mechanical delivery across large-scale Greenfield data center builds.

You will take ownership of mechanical systems from design coordination through to commissioning, ensuring performance, compliance, and quality at every stage.

Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with architects, electrical teams, consultants, and site leadership to drive seamless project execution while maintaining strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical engineering aspects of Greenfield data center construction projects from inception to completion.
Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement efficient mechanical systems.
Oversee and manage all mechanical-related construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
Coordinate with general contractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall construction plan.-
Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
Prepare and review detailed engineering reports, proposals, and documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with specific experience in Greenfield data center construction.
Proven track record working with general contractors on large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Excellent project management and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
