A confidential client is seeking to appoint a Legal Manager to join its corporate and development team.
The Company
Our client is a privately owned investment and development organisation delivering a major mixed-use urban development in Erbil. The business operates at board level with international advisors and partners across design, finance and delivery.
The Role
Reporting to the Executive Leadership team, the Legal Manager will oversee all corporate, commercial and development-related legal matters. The role will ensure governance, risk mitigation and contractual protection across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate development, consultancy and commercial contracts
- Advise on corporate structuring, joint ventures and investment agreements
- Manage external counsel and specialist legal advisors
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks
- Provide legal risk analysis to executive leadership and the Board
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have experience within real estate development or large-scale infrastructure projects and demonstrate:
- Strong grounding in corporate and commercial law
- Experience negotiating complex development and consultancy agreements
- Ability to manage external legal advisors and cross-border considerations
- Clear, pragmatic communication style with senior stakeholders
