The HSE Consultant ensures all project activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and plans. This role is critical for developing and implementing HSE strategies, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a strong safety culture across the project lifecycle, within a Facilities Management scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- HSE Planning & Management:
Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and strategies aligned with regulatory and client requirements. - Risk Management:
Perform risk assessments (HAZOP, HAZID) and identify potential hazards from design through execution. - Compliance & Auditing:
Ensure adherence to local, national, and international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001). Conduct internal and external audits. - Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into accidents/incidents, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. - Training & Culture:
Deliver safety training programs and promote a positive health and safety culture among project teams. - Reporting & Communication:
Prepare regular HSE reports for senior management and act as the primary client contact for HSE matters. - Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications in HSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE roles, including supervisory responsibilities in facility management, hospitality, or high-end commercial/residential projects.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and international standards.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
