Our client is seeking to appoint a Heritage Conservation Manager to join their heritage and cultural assets division.

The Role
The Heritage Conservation Manager will lead the preservation and protection of all heritage assets across royal palace estates. The role focuses on governance, strategic planning, policy development, and contractor performance management, ensuring conservation works align with international standards and royal protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop heritage conservation strategies and preservation frameworks
- Ensure compliance with heritage laws and Royal Court protocols
- Establish inspection and maintenance guidelines
- Advise on risks, restoration needs, and conservation priorities
- Support budgeting, CAPEX planning, and asset valuation
- Participate in cultural and heritage technical committees
- Oversee CAFM integration for conservation planning
- Monitor environmental conditions affecting heritage materials
- Evaluate and prequalify specialist conservation contractors
- Approve technical submissions and restoration documentation
- Supervise conservation works on-site
- Conduct inspections and identify deterioration risks
- Lead restoration projects, ensuring historical integrity
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have specialist heritage conservation experience and demonstrate:
- Extensive knowledge of historical architecture and restoration techniques
- Experience working in royal estates or high-profile heritage environments
- Strong technical assessment, reporting, and stakeholder management skills

Location & Working Pattern
Based across multiple royal palaces with travel to remote sites where required.
