Our client:

A leading general contractor with a strong presence in the Middle East, specializing in large-scale infrastructure and complex construction projects. The company is renowned for its commitment to quality and delivering challenging projects on time and within budget.

The Role:

We are seeking ten (10) hires within this specialisation. Reporting to the Site Manager, General Foremen will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities across various infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities. This role involves managing work crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct construction crews for roads, bridges, infrastructure, and utilities projects.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and safety procedures.
Monitor progress, manage resources, and report on daily activities to the Site Manager.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on site.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure construction and demonstrate:

Key skill or qualification: A vocational qualification or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline. Relevant certifications in construction supervision or safety are advantageous.
Relevant technical or commercial experience: Proven experience as a General Foreman on roads, bridges, infrastructure, and utilities projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, equipment, and materials for these types of projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate site teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and liaise with project management.
