The FLS Consultant will support the strategic planning, optimisation, and lifecycle management of facility assets across the project portfolio. The role focuses on improving asset performance, operational efficiency, and long-term cost effectiveness through lifecycle planning, asset condition assessments, and data-driven facility management strategies.

The position works closely with operations, engineering, and client stakeholders to ensure that asset lifecycle strategies align with operational goals, contractual KPIs, and sustainability objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct lifecycle assessments of building assets, plant, and equipment to support long-term facility planning.
  • Develop and maintain asset lifecycle strategies including refurbishment, replacement, and maintenance planning.
  • Analyse asset performance data through CAFM systems and technical reporting tools.
  • Support the development of lifecycle cost models, capital planning forecasts, and asset investment strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimise preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Provide technical advisory support to operations teams regarding asset performance and lifecycle optimisation.
  • Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives through improved asset management strategies.
  • Prepare lifecycle reports, asset condition reports, and performance analysis for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements, QHSE policies, and FMTECH operational standards.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for operational efficiency, innovation, and cost optimisation.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in asset lifecycle management, facilities engineering, or technical FM consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of asset management frameworks and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Experience working with CAFM systems and asset management databases.
  • Knowledge of maintenance strategies, asset condition assessment, and technical reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary FM teams and stakeholders.


Person Specifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience within facility management, asset management, or engineering consultancy.
  • Experience supporting large-scale facility management or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical and operational data.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related discipline.
  • Asset management or FM certifications (IFMA, IAM, CFM, or equivalent) are advantageous.
