The Role:
Reporting to the senior executive leadership team, the Executive Director Project Delivery will lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple large-scale theme park projects. This role holds full accountability for execution strategy, programme performance, and delivery outcomes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to world-class quality and safety standards.
The position plays a critical role in translating vision into reality, overseeing complex, multidisciplinary programmes from concept through to operational readiness, while driving innovation, guest experience excellence, and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall project delivery strategy for major theme park developments, ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives.
- Oversee full lifecycle delivery from design, procurement, construction through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and operators to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
- Monitor programme timelines, budgets, risks, and resources, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Provide regular executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Embed best-in-class safety, sustainability, and quality standards across all project phases.
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing delivery teams across multiple project streams.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will bring significant experience delivering complex, large-scale entertainment, theme park, or destination developments, and demonstrate:
- Proven leadership of major project delivery programmes (15+ year’s experience).
- Strong understanding of theme park design, engineering, and construction integration.
- Track record of delivering projects from concept through to operations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills at executive level.
- Commercial acumen across budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
