The MEP Consultant is responsible for delivering technical and managerial expertise across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within facilities management. The role ensures efficient, reliable, and safe operation of all MEP systems while maintaining compliance with international standards and local regulations. This position drives performance optimization, sustainability initiatives, and cost-effective maintenance strategies to enhance asset lifecycle value.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on MEP systems in line with international and Saudi standards (SFG20, SBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, ISO).
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Review design drawings, technical submissions, and O&M documentation for compliance and quality.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend efficiency improvements and sustainability measures.
- Monitor service provider performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement plans.
- Lead condition assessments, prepare technical reports, and provide cost estimates for upgrades or replacements.
- Support testing, commissioning, and asset handover for new installations and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and Saudi Building Code.
- Manage maintenance budgets and optimize costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Train and mentor FM staff and service providers on best practices in MEP operations and safety.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including BMS optimization, CMMS data accuracy, and energy monitoring tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in facilities management, preferably in a managing agent role with exposure to high-profile or VIP client facilities.
- Certifications: PMP, CFM, FMP, or equivalent preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Leadership and coordination abilities with multiple service providers.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency programs and sustainability frameworks.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
