Our client is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities on large-scale hyperscale data centre projects in Malaysia. You will be responsible for ensuring all systems are tested, validated, and handed over to the highest operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end commissioning (Level 1–5) across hyperscale data centre projects
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and consultants across MEP and CSA interfaces
- Oversee testing activities including FATs, SATs, ISTs, and integrated systems testing
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations, client standards, and industry best practices
- Drive system validation and quality assurance for successful handover
- Identify and mitigate commissioning and integration risks
- Report on progress, risks, and readiness to key stakeholders
- Support client witnessing, training, and final documentation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Track record delivering full commissioning lifecycle on at least one large-scale project
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure
- Familiarity with Level 1–5 commissioning processes and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute)
- Good understanding of Malaysian regulatory and compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder coordination and leadership skills
- Clear communication and reporting abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and reliability
